Installing VX Board

BEFORE INSTALLING OR REMOVING ANY CIRCUIT BOARDS FROM THE P32xi/P32mxi, ENSURE THAT ALL POWER HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE SYSTEM. THIS INCLUDES THE 110VAC PLUG AND THE -48VDC BATTERY CONNECTOR!!!

The circuit boards in the P32xi/P32mxi are NOT hot swappable!

Plugging any module into the P32xi/P32mxi chassis with power applied will destroy the module and potentially the main motherboard and power supply. And it definitely voids your warranty!

  1. Remove all cables from the P32mxi chassis.
  2. Remove the screws from the P32mxi chassis.
  3. Remove the top cover.
  4. Remove the screws from the 1" standoffs on the main motherboard.
  5. Install the VX board into the P32mxi chassis.
  6. Re-install the screws removed in Step 4 (to hold down the VX board).
  7. Replace the top cover and re-install the screws removed in Step 2 above.
  8. Replace all cables.
