Ethernet Configuration

The MAC Address window shows the actual MAC address of the Ethernet port on your P32mxi system. This is read-only.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) allows the system to be the source for all dynamically assigned IP addresses for the hosts (computers) in your LAN. Options include:

IP Address — If the system has not been set up as a DHCP Client, this field is needed to define the IP Address of the physical Ethernet port.

Subnet Mask — Sets the mask bits for this address.

Default Gateway — Defines the gateway address where unknown (not on the local network) packets should be sent to.

Max Transmission Unit — Sets the largest packet size that can be sent on the Ethernet. The default is 1536 (normal Ethernet size).
