To allow access to servers on your LAN from the public Internet (such as a mail server), you can define access to a specific IP address and TCP/UDP port combination. In the example below, the server at address 118.16.106.88 is the SMTP server (using TCP port 25). Accesses from outside of the local LAN can get to this explicitly defined server.
